CRANTOCK PARISH

Welcome to the parish church of Crantock : St Carantoc in the Anglican Diocese of Truro and county of Cornwall England. Now a United Benifice with Perranzabuloe & Cubert

The beautiful Norman village church of St Carantoc boasts some of the finest wood carving in the West Country and is a very popular venue for wedding couples. Many legends abound about Carantoc, a sixth Century Celtic Saint who, it is said, built his oratory near to where he arrived in Cornwall, the west side of the Gannel River. This river now forms a natural boundary between the parishes of Newquay and Crantock.

The churchmanship at St Carantoc can be described as 'Moderate Catholic' where vestments are worn and incense is used. The church is open every day throughout the year and visited by many people.

There is nearly always a Sunday Holy Eucharist with occasional united services with Crantock Methodist Church.
